The Article put together about South Carolina and the residents of Lancaster County was completely unprofessional and offensive. South Carolina may not be the richest state in the United States but that certainly doesn’t mean that we are a bunch a savages who need to be or deserve to be exploited by people like this and industries who care more about making a buck for this stupid story than they do the people they have hurt by portraying us all as uneducated hicks. Myself, as well as many of my classmates who attended small schools in Lancaster County, are now in Colleges and Universities making straight A’s and are very successful young adults. This article was full of ignorant stereotypes about Southern people and should be retracted and redone immediately. Thank you! …………Not DONE!
We have a bright future ahead of us and we do not like being judged by stereotypes. We aren’t those old Southern hicks with uneducated backwoods idea’s and the way the whole segment portrayed us was simply wrong. (Banjo music? really?) Though I am ashamed of some of the things people in the video said, it seems like they picked the dumbest people in Lancaster to interview!
